Change Your Internet Settings Username and Password

  • Open your web browser and type the default IP Address or in the address bar
  • You will now land in the router login page where you can type a username and a password. If you don't see this page, make sure you are connected to your Home WiFi
  • Type in the default username and password for your router. Most common username is admin and the default password is admin. Hit the "Login" button
  • Navigate to "Wireless" and then click on "Wireless Security", choose "WPA/WPA2 – Personal" and type in your new Wi-Fi Name and Password and click on "Save"

If you have physical access to the router, you can usually find the model information on a sticker on the bottom or back of the router. Most of the time it will be clearly labeled "Model." If you do not have access to the router, or the sticker is damaged or missing, you can find the product model number on the router's online administration page.
