How to Use the Wi-Fi QR Code Generator
Connecting guests to your home or office Wi-Fi doesn't have to involve reading out a long, complicated password. Create a scannable barcode to instantly connect anyone with a smartphone to your network.
Enter your Network Name (SSID)
This is the name of your Wi-Fi network exactly as it appears on your device when searching for connections. It is case-sensitive.
Select Encryption Type
Most modern routers use WPA/WPA2/WPA3. If you have a very old router it might use WEP. If your network requires no password, select 'None'.
Enter your Password
Type your Wi-Fi password carefully. Remember, this tool runs entirely in your browser—your password is never sent to our servers.
Generate & Print
Click generate. You can now save the QR code image to your phone or print it out and frame it for your guest room or lobby!
Is this tool safe to use?
Yes. We built this tool using client-side JavaScript. This means the QR code is generated using the processing power of your own device. The information you type (like your Wi-Fi password) is never transmitted across the internet or saved to any database. You can even disconnect your internet, reload the page from your browser cache, and the tool will still work!
